Hi, I'm Lita Martinez, and this is my home on the World Wide Web.
Thanks for stopping by.

I'm a freelance reporter, editor, science communications consultant, and
wanna-be programmer based in Southern California.

Previously, I made podcasts for Crooked Media, and reported on everything from
major wildfires, the COVID-19 pandemic, and even secret ocean critter spots
for NPR station LAist (formerly KPCC).

I like to write code and spend as much time as I can in the Pacific Ocean.
Occassionally, I find ways to do both!

In a past life, I was fortunate enough to earn a degree from UCLA, which gave me
the opportunity to live and work in both Japan and South Korea.

If you're interested in working with me, please get in touch!
